Cerritos seeks Volunteens

The Cerritos Library Volunteen program is in need of dependable teen volunteers. Library Volunteen applications will be available starting Monday, April 8. The Summer Session will run from Monday, June 17 through Saturday, August 3.

Volunteen duties include shelving library materials, helping with arts and crafts projects, monitoring the children’s computer workstations, operating the Friends Bookstore and participating and working the Summer Reading Program Office.

Volunteen positions are open to students at least 13 years old in grades 7 through 12. Applicants must have a Cerritos Library card in good standing and are required to successfully pass a criminal background assessment in accordance with City policy, which includes a live scan records check, prior to their start date.
