Read for the GOLD! 49th Summer Reading Program 2024

Register online now through Beanstack.

Cerritos Library cardholders of all ages are invited to participate in Read for the GOLD! Read throughout the summer to earn a book prize and tote bag for completing the program, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Cerritos Library.

OPTION 1: Online Pre-Registration
Monday, June 10 through Sunday, June 16.

To access and sign-up for a Beanstack account, please visit the library’s website at cerritoslibrary.us. With a valid Cerritos Library card, participants can log and track their reading progress in Beanstack from June 17 through July 14.

CHILDREN: Earn digital badges for reading 210 minutes each week (30 minutes per day).
ADULTS/TEENS: Earn digital badges for each book read (four books total).

OPTION 2: In-Person Registration
Monday, June 17 through Sunday, June 30.

Register in the Children's Art Studio in the Cerritos Library and receive a reading log. A valid Cerritos Library card must be presented, and a form must be filled out for each participant.

Participants who complete the program can visit the Children’s Art Studio in the Cerritos Library to receive a book prize and tote bag (while supplies last) beginning Monday, July 15 through Sunday, July 28. (For Beanstack users, please show library staff the digital completion badge earned in the Beanstack App on your mobile device. Alternatively, please present completed reading log.) Each participant must be present to receive their book prize and tote bag.
