Trap Door is an eight-page accordion fold book with pages made from dark blue book cloth. The end panels are made of a pliable waxy plastic embedded with acrylic painted paper and cheesecloth. The edges are decorated with coiled dark blue and white threads. One side of each panel consists of brightly colored papers in iridescent blue, turquoise and green hues. Each panel of the other side of the accordion fold contains seven 1.5-inch square black and dark gray images resembling over-exposed film. The book is housed in a cloth-covered box with a magnetic hinge.
